Author Guidelines

I. GENERAL

  1. The submitted manuscript is a script that has not been published and is not being submitted for publication in other journals that have ISSN or ISBN. The manuscript will be edited by the editorial team and any posts that need improvement will be sent back to the author for repair.
  2. The submitted manuscript may take the form of research results, case reports, or literature review.
  3. All case reports that will be considered for publication are  unique and rare cases with unusual troubleshooting and have important values for publication.
  4. The manuscript should be written in the form of articles with good Indonesian narratives according to the correct Indonesian spelling.
  5. The author must register at link Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia before can do log in to Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia to submit and upload manuscript.
  6. Submitted submissions and illustrations are lawfully owned by the publisher and are not allowed to be published to other media without the official permission of the publisher.
  7. Script writers are expected to be able to provide support in the form of citation to various references that have been published in the Journal of Internal Medicine.
  8. All forms of communication are done electronically.

II. Writing Systematic

Complete and abstract texts are prepared in Indonesian, along with abstracts and English titles. The script is typed in the form of  a  single word MS word space with A4 format with a minimum edge of 2.5 cm.

Research Report

  1. Title completed with the name of the author or writers) is written complete without an academic degree, the institution where the author works, the institution name, the correspondence and email correspondence (formal attached email address).
  2. Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English (with title). Abstracts of research are made in one paragraph without subtitles consisting of backgrounds, research objects, research methods, results, conclusions and keywords (3-5 paragraphs). Abstract length maximum 250 words. The final abstract contains keywords (4-6 words), keywords separated by commas (,).
  3. The sub-headings consist of an introduction (consisting of background, problem formulation, literature review, and research objectives written in a chapter without subheadings), research methods, research results, discussions, conclusions (consisting of conclusions and suggestions in a single paragraph or more, not in the form of points), reference. Each chapter of the text is typed in capital letters.
  4. The table should be short and clear, the title should be written above and the notes below. Describe all abbreviations used. The image should be clear, the title of the image is written underneath. The origin of table or picture reference is written below. Tables and drawings should be created using the .jpeg format. The number of tables and or images is not more than 6 (eg 6 tables, 6 pictures, 5 tables and 1 image, 4 tables and 2 pictures, etc.).
  5. Research should be narrated in the form of text not points. Images should be mentioned in the related text, not in the form of attachments.
  6. References in manuscripts (texts) must be arranged according to the numbers in order of appearance in the manuscript, and written according to the Vancouver system The bibliography should be no more than 50.
  7. The length of the research report is 5,000-6,000 words.

 Case Report

  1. Title, author's name, institution, address and email correspondence are clearly stated.
  2. Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English. The abstract contains cases made in one paragraph without sub-headings consisting of background, objectives, methods and results of management, conclusions and keywords (3-5 paragraphs).
  3. The sub-headings consist of an introduction (including background, literature review, problem formulation, and objectives written in a chapter without sub-headings), methods, discussions, conclusions, and references.
  4. The results are made narrative in the text, not the point form, the images are mentioned in the related text instead of the attached form.
  5. The length of the research report is 3000-3500 words.

Literature review

  1. The writing format is similar to the research report with the manuscript consisting of the introduction, the text (the content), conclusions, suggestions, and references.
  2. Title, author's name, institution, address and email correspondence are clearly stated.
  3. Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English. The abstract contains cases made in one paragraph without sub-headings consisting of background, objectives, methods and results of management, conclusions and keywords (3-5 paragraphs).
  4. The sub-headings consist of an introduction (including background, literature review, problem formulation, and objectives written in a chapter without sub-headings), methods, discussions, conclusions, and references.
  5. The results are made narrative in the text, not the point form, the images are mentioned in the related text instead of the attached form.
  6. Length of literature review of 4,500-5,000 words.

Writing Technique

  1. Title no more than 12 words, explaining the entire text content, the letters used Arial size 14 bold capital (abstract title English no more than 12 words).
  2. Abstract is written in English (italics) and Indonesian maximum 250 words followed by 3-5 keywords, typed with Arial letter size 10.
  3. The script is typed in Arial size 10, double space on A4 paper ((210 x 297 mm).
  4. The manuscript consists of 10-15 pages including references.
  5. Images must be in JPEG and at least 300 dpi ( dots per inch ) resolution , entry table in text (not separate or attached form).
  6. Images and tables should be numbered with Arabic numbering, and table titles as well as table brief information written with Arial letters of size 9 with single spacing.
  7. The referns used consist of 80% of the main references (journals and proceedings ), 20% of secondary references (books) published in the last 10 years. Reference is written in Vancouver format. Each of the referenced references is written with the number placed at the end of the sentence. Example of reference writing as follows:
